The city is honoring the research organization for its 30 years of contributions to science, as well as its commitment to excellence in training future scientists.

The Gladstone Institutes is the premier independent, non-profit biomedical research organization in San Francisco, focusing on cardiovascular disease, neurological disease, and HIV/AIDS. It has consistently ranked as a top place for postdoctoral fellows and scientists to work in the United States.

“Since we began at San Francisco General Hospital nearly 30 years ago, we’ve worked to build a reputation for great science and excellence in training,” said Gladstone President Robert Mahley, MD, PhD. “We’re proud to be recognized by San Francisco and honored to be a part of this great community.”

Gladstone will be celebrating this honor with several events throughout the day at its Mission Bay laboratories.
