All in the family: A UCSF update on hereditary cancer
WHAT:
In observance of the 10th anniversary of the UCSF Cancer Risk Program, a free community forum titled All in the Family: A UCSF Update on Hereditary Cancer will be presented.
Experts will address common concerns about inherited risk for cancer, provide updates on new advances, and explain how elevated risk can be mitigated by surveillance, preventive surgery and lifestyle changes. The program will include a panel of patients and genetic counselors.
WHO:
The UCSF Cancer Risk Program provides genetic counseling and gene testing for families suspected of harboring hereditary cancer. Speakers include UCSF genetic counselors and cancer specialists:
