Ronnie Lott, Willie Brown, Macy's tree lighting to celebrate support for UCSF Children's Hospital
WHAT: On Friday, November 28, 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., San Francisco celebrates Macy's annual gift to the city -- the annual Union Square holiday tree lighting ceremony. For the first time, and in the true spirit of giving, Macy's holiday tree will benefit a worthy cause -- UCSF Children's Hospital. The public can sponsor one of the thousands of twinkling light bulbs on the spectacular 80-foot fir tree. All proceeds benefit support programs at UCSF Children's Hospital for children and their families at the most difficult time -- when a child is faced with a life-threatening illness.
WHO: The Honorable Mayor Willie Brown, 49er great Ronnie Lott, KGO-TV's Spencer Christian, UCSF Medical Center CEO Mark Laret, UCSF patient Samantha Williams and her mother, and the Ark Of Refuge Restoration Choir, featuring Bishop Yvette Flunder. They'll join Macy's and UCSF Children's Hospital staff, young patients and their families, the San Francisco community and Santa Claus to celebrate the holiday season.
