News releases - Timely Heads Up
Faculty and staff with information on upcoming publications, presentations, grants or other activities that they think would be of interest to the external media should contact UCSF News Office. Lead time is important in preparing a news release or scheduling an interview. For example, release of information regarding scientific papers and grants is usually scheduled for a specific day by the given journal, agency or foundation, and UCSF News Office wants to work with you to meet this schedule. Please contact the staff member of UCSF News Office who covers your area as soon as you have a potential news item, such as having a paper accepted for publication or a grant bestowed. (Please see Contact us.)
Responding to Media Calls
UCSF News Office is responsible for handling all news inquiries and media relations related to programs affiliated with the UCSF Campus, UCSF Medical Center and UCSF Children's Hospital. It is important to coordinate with News Office on all calls and interviews with the media. Contact us at (415) 476-2557.
Photography and Video
Individuals and teams doing photography and video work on UCSF sites must be coordinated through UCSF News Office. Because this activity can require extensive advance work, please contact UCSF News Office as soon as discussions begin.
