The May 2003 issue of UCSF Magazine features 15 female scientists who form part of Mission Bay's first wave. The article, entitled "The Female Factor," explores the science and sensibilities of such researchers as Christine Guthrie, Deanna Kroetz, Su Guo, Cynthia Kenyon, Carol Gross and Ulrike Heberlein, to name only a few. Part two of the Female Factor, which focuses on clinicians and clinical scientists, will appear in the June issue of the magazine, the first time in the magazine's 25-year history that issues will have been published in back-to-back months.
